PPI. They said it was called HELP YOUR CLAIM. I asked to speak to the manager and told them that my phone was registered to not receive cold calls, and asked them where they got my number from. I was called by this number at 08:18 this morning by someone claiming to be "Amazon Prime" (recorded message) and invited to be transferred to cancel a subscription ('press 1'). The person then asked for my details and, when questioned, told me that it is not possible to contact Amazon directly or my bank over this. The conversation stank so I discontinued the call.

Beware...This is a scam. Caller named Alan announced that he was calling about my computer. Given that it was an unsolicited call from person who could in no way know if I had a computer or not, I immediately hung up and blocked the number.

I believe it is someone who called the wrong number. I got a caller on my mobile. I have my number for more than 10 years. I think she misdialled from her phone. She asked for Gemma. I just said there is no Gemma and she got the wrong number. I can't say if this is a trick or not.

Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.
Your internet will be cut off scam - same scam different phone number. Avoid like the plague.

I received a call from this number. Caller ended call immediately I picked. i called the number again and the caller rejected my call.
Fraud. I got a recorded message in an American accent saying that a criminal case has been filed against me for tax evasion. I think I am probably stupid enough to accept this and panic, but I don't believe it and burst out laughing. I think the accent tipped me of 'cause the patter was quite believable(NOT!).
