Man, claiming to be Jonathan Carter from Microsoft, rang from 01142998909. During the call the line dropped and when he rang back it was from this number. He said hackers had taken over my computer in the pass few days. He tried to persuade me to download Anydesk which gives access to my computer on the pretext that it would remove the hackers. When I refused he said he would have to block my computer from the broadband and I would have to come to Microsoft in Reading to have it unblocked

Call starts by automated voice thanking me for the purchase of an Iphone for over £700.00 via amazon and then telling you its coming soon and if you did not make the purchase to enter details. Clearly a scam as I did not order anything. My Amazon account is not compromised. Just evil scammers trying to get your banking details. Beware that number!

Second, robot claiming to be HMRC invoking legal action and to press one to contact an officer. I ignored the call and checked my HMRC account: nothing was wrong. Third time, same shit, just blocked and ignored it.

Received a text saying my parcel has been dropped of at the collection centre. I have not bought any items, and I'm not expecting any parcels from friends or acquaintants.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. I'm more and more convinced it is a scam. I was called this morning, by an automated voice, that there is a proceeding against me because I didn't pay my taxes, and if I want to avoid further consequences (including jail!), I should press 1. Pulled over, pressed 1, a female voice greeted me and asked for personal data. I didn't give any, and asked if there is a number I can call them back on. She said she would call me back later instead. Once home, checekd with HMRC, no issues with my status or taxes.

This is one of those text parcel scams saying tried to deliver and failed. Click on link to rearrange. Scam, haven't ordered anything. Don't fall for it a old one this.

I received a call from this number today (14.04.23) - did not pick up phone but they left a message, that there have been "unusual activites/transcation" on my card (not mentioned which one). They asked to press #1 to cancle these transactions or #2 to speak to a member of their support team. COMPLETE SCAM!
