If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you have just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. I answered and they mentioned something about EE, then asked me how much I pay per month, I responded, no thanks I've just started a new contract. They then said "I never asked you to change your contract", I then said, I will stop you there and just tell you I am not interested, he then responded repeatedly, "GO FCK YOURSELF". Needless to say I hung up!!!

As soon as you reach pension age, they're on to you claiming that you requested a pension check online (didn't happen) they tried to call my elderly mother claiming they could offer her a lump sum payment if only she would grant them access to the account. It's all lies and a well known pension scam. Please be careful!

SCAM... call from Robert Norris to my 83 year old father in law claiming to be from tsb fraud team and attempting to get access to his internet banking.

Claimed to be calling from "credit investigation unit" and government had shortlisted me to write off 90% of my debt. I got him to stop, then said I was recording the call and began quizzing him. The story he spun twisted and flipped, wouldn't answer how/why the government knows what my credit status is, or who compiles the shortlist, or where his employer got it. I repeated that I was recording the call and suggested it was a scam. He swore and cut off the call.

This phone number is a scam. But sounds very convincing as it is a well spoken English person. I fear that trusting elderly people WOULD fall for this scam. They pretended to be Domestic & General wanting me to take out further policies. BLOCK this phone number, as I did....
