Cold caller who called our TPS registered line, asking to speak to a named member of staff. Claimed to be Ewan from Connect (n.b. *not* BT Connect, just Connect ) and said he would be in our local area tomorrow, but then named a town over 20 miles away. Said he wished to discuss our upcoming assessment and proceeded to try to talk about saving money on your phone bill and broadband at which point we said we weren t interested and hung up.

They said that Age Concern had selected them to contact people with mobility problems, and asked if I was sleeping well. I have just had a call from this number from Natasha who purports that she works for an energy company re our loft insulation. When I said “stop right there, no no no” she shouted at me “you need to listen, I’m from the government “ and then she put the phone down on me!!! Makes me wonder which government!!
