I contacted this company on behalf of my mum. I explained that I had an agreement with the energy supplier to clear the outstanding bill before the 14th of September. The debt collecting company then called the supplier and they said yes the agreement is in place. These people just lie and tell you you have money due back on your rates when you don t! They sound very genuine at first but when you check with valuation office they say that it is a scam. Stay clear

I think this is a boiler room operation, touting for investment. Even after you tell them where to get off, they still call back many times. A boiler room operation is one which hypes "investments" which probably don t exist and you lose your money. Worryingly they knew my name.
