Constantly harrased by this number asking about PPI, Loans AND credit cards. They contact me nearly every week and one week I got contacted three times and they never leave me alone or remove me from their database. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM...

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

I answered this number in November. No one spoke when I asked who it was and therefore I hung up. I am now getting a call from this number at least once a day, I just let it rin...

5 calls today so far (4pm) 4 calls yesterday and the day before, no answer when I pick up and not accepting calls to that number.

I had a marketing call from this number trying to sell me a new boiler. When I asked for their website the lady who introduced herself as Grace hung up.

When you answer your phone and if it s a number you don t recognise, DON T SPEAK JUST LISTEN! Wait for the caller to speak first and then decide whether to simply put the phone down. If it s a recorded message, it ll nearly always be a scam or a computer dialling a batch of numbers in sequence and trying to assertain if the number they have just dialled is a voice line. i.e. a private phone number. Money scam. They pose as a photography company (Imagethirst), offering free photo shoots, asking for a deposit first(usually ?40-?50). They have been known to tell you that you are a prize winner for other things also, and pose as other companies.

Just had the same call, I said I didn't have a clue if I had the cover, she said thank you then hung up

Got a call on 26 May at 12:03, no one on the other side, just hung up. Got a phone call from another unknown number same day from same area (01743562667). Again no one on the other side. Very annoying! I suspect it might be someone trying to scam vulnerable people during coronavirus.
