02081330598 an Asian man called saying I was being overcharged for my electricity, he said he was from the national grid (Kevin Marshall) !!!! Didn't believe him, was very insistent, I told him, I was not interested and happy with the company I was with.
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1792917xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims (also reclaim money from holidays) / insurance marketing / energy schemes. J

text message claiming you are eligible for a tax return and a link to where you can claim it. the link has 'gov' in it, but it is not the gov.uk site, it ends in .com. didn't click on it, but I assume they are next going to ask for card info then drain your account, so be weary. never, ever click links sent from random numbers claiming to be companies or the gov, they do not operate like this. for tax return you will get a physical envelope in your mail, never earlier than April when they actually close the
