Called 5 times in the last week - I said that to him and he said they don t call off lists and it was the first time they d attempted to call. Guy called from 03451128876 today 27/06/2018 claiming to be with BT; "just wanting to see if there was a better deal they could offer me." Knew my name. Lot of background noise. I politely interrupted his spiel to advise him that I'd already received similar calls from his colleagues in the past and that I was perfectly happy with my present deal. He equally politely said that was OK and wished me a good day. Possibly a scam (?) but I'm not going to take the conversation far enough to find out.

I got called by this number at 18:07. The line was silent and when I hung up it called again. A quick search suggested it was Barclays Bank. An odd time of day for a bank to call! I contacted Barclays via their app for a live text chat. The operator assured me it was a Barclays number and not a scam. And yet, an internet search suggests that this number is regularly used as part of a scam. The Barclays operator need to wake up and start offering better advice than "don't worry, it's a Barcla
