Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. I had actually contacted Revolut as I had another scam call the day before (definitely linked to this one) attempting for me to give a code to add my card to their Apple Pay. I believe this is a number possibly from Pure Cremation. I you have shown interest in arranging your own future cremation via your phone used and did not do so they will call you back on this number and another. I did not answer.
I believe that someone called me from this number was trying to con me. I was told that my bill was being reduced by two pound. I simply said ok thank you and hung up. This call came out of the blue and I live by the phrase if it comes to you out of the blue, it's not for you.

They phoned me and said they are DRS. I asked what it stood for and they said they can't talk much without going through security with me asking for my name. Still they refused to say who they where. Don't give your name out. Make one up and if they say security passed ya know it's a scam.

They came up as on my phone as "Netring" with a red flag by it.. I didn't answer... (never do if unknown/unexpected) So I googled "Netring" and the phone number correlates.. https://netring.co.uk/pages/support/ I'd say more marketing but to what end?? Steer clear.

Well spoken female called back after getting cut off. Said they checked my fuse box ten years ago and wanted to do another free check. Asked me to go to the fuse box. I said it was difficult to reach and it was a consumer unit with circuit breakers. She said in that case no need for a check. Obviously if they'd checked ten years ago they would know what equipment I had. Why I continued to engage with her was we had circuit breakers changed by the makers of the consumer unit as they had found quality issues.

This is because your insurer has sold on your contact details to this third party who will try to get you to make accident claims for a cut of the payout. File a complaint with your insurance broker for selling on your personal information.
