This was an unsolicited call which I let go to ansafone the message started automatically - It appears to be a scam call (not mentioning your name, but saying HMRC has taken out a lawsuit under your name & an arrest warrant has been issued under your name & urging you to press 1 to speak to your case officer ( a case number KN01297 is quoted & you are urged to press 1 to speak to the case officer) - Typical of the types of scams used against older people

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls - surveys, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... People don't fall for it. Did someone answer any number of this range?

Received a call from this number and listening to the message can understand why people fall for this. The message advises that HMRC wish to speak with you and it may be in your interest to appoint a Solicitor. Then asks that you call back. I called back and an Asian male answered with "This is Her Majesties Revenue Control, how can I help you" I hung up. This is a scam - do not entertain requests from anyone calling from a number that is not on the HMRC website www.gov.uk/government/organisatio

I emailed them and told them I will charge them £150 per call and enforce it through the Courts using the address on their web site lets see them manage that debt

Caller claimed to be from "IT Support London", claimed there was an issue reported with my computer and was most likely going to try to remote in or get me to install malware.
