"Orlando" called from "You Compare" requesting to speak to Mr [Mobile Phone Owners Surname" regarding life insurance policy which they are reviewing (I don t have a life insurance policy). Advised that he is based in Dakar, Bangladesh and that they use an automatic dialler with my telephone number being obtained from an opt-in database. Called on mobile today when I asked what they wanted in a very unfriendly way they cut the call.

I have the TruCaller App (Free version) it notifies you of scams, etc before you answer. I will be using this on my new phone, it s a great little App and instantly told me this was a PPI scam. I recommend this App to anyone, and I blocked this number straight away. All numbers TruCaller checks against a huge database of Blaclisted phone numbers.

Repeated missed calls with 1-2 second silent/static answering machine message. I am a Wesleyan customer AND my car insurance is due for renewal soon so I assume it is them electronically dialling me? Never any chance to answer and of course you can t tell who an answering machine message is from until you listen to it, so just an enormous waste of my time.
