Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. SCAM supposedly from the Bank - 2 suspected transactions one from Amazon for £300 and another from for £1100 International Bank money transfer - if you didn’t authorise press 1 to speak to someone - didn’t- now blocked.

Tried to call back but not recognised. Defo spam or some such.

This number is used by scammers. My experience is that they advised me that my PayPal account had been used suspiciously, and invited me to call this number and get the supposed transaction cleared. What made this so dangerous, was the fact that they used the Paypal site giving this number to contact to resolve the problem. Very cute, they nearly caught me, but they asked too many questions about bank accounts, which set the alarm bells ringing. Asked why, the call was terminated.

Indian call centre. Will try and persuade you to open windows event viewer and tell you the warnings in there are the result of being hacked.

Automated call SCAM - reporting fraudulent activity on a card -does not say which card, or bank. Computer voice not a person.

My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.

This is yet another number for the call centre claiming to be the housing disrepair team.

Appears to be a scam. Claimed to be a travel company offering a 20% discount. Gabbled the company name fast so I couldn't identify it. Refused to say it slowly and clearly. Avoid.

Received call, recorded message, pertaining to be HMRC asking me to press a number to talk to them about incorrect tax return. I believe this to be fraudulent and that HMRC would not make contact in this manner.

SCAM This number called on my land line with a recoded message stating that my internet was to be cut off within the next 24 to 48 hours because of illegal activity. If I needed to speak to an executive manager I instructed to press 1 on my handset. The internet was not cut off nor has been interrupted. This is a scam.
