An Indian/Pakistani caller who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Scheme. He knew my number and surname. He asked whether I was receiving unwanted marketing calls. I confirmed that I was receiving unwanted calls at which point he put the phone down.

Just had a text from this Company. Which reads; "Hi Tony, call 0115 824 7495 immediately please. We received your application and need to speak with you now to complete your loan." You all need to be aware that this number is likely SPOOOFED. Many scammers are DUPLICATING numbers like Fife Council, so that you assume it s a legit call, should you not answer. That way, they cover their tracks and the number doesn t get blocked, i.e. they distance themselves from the scam. Some of you will have been called by the real Fife Council, others not. It s common. I m not near Fife!
