SCAM Called on my mobile @ 20.00hrs. A Northampton dial code. Caller when questioned was from "the Philipines" looking to see if I qualify for "home insulation" funding. When asked how my phone number was accessed the caller hung up. Had this not been a recognised dial code I would not have answered the call. number now blocked. Also appears on missed calls list from yesterday @ 12.58hrs.

This is a male pretending to be from the FCA. He tells you that you have been using crypto currency and bitcoin and says the FCA are holding onto this as it’s illegal. He got very rude when i told him the facts
"We have detected illegal activity on your internet connection. You will be disconnected. Press xx to speak to an agent.". Yeah right, and my farts smell sweet.
Said they were calling from O2 but I very much doubt it. Very poor English.

We have 2 phones sending 2051 sms. Both are Nokia C21 plus and appear to have been hacked or have malware in stock ROM. Other owners of this phone are reporting the same problem. This may not be a scammer but it is annoying, Avery's Wine Merchants who seem to call from various related numbers to hawk their wares. Bloody nuisance.

Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. I kept saying its nothing to do with you. Then she hung up.

Received an automated call reporting to be from amazon regarding a suspicious purchase on my account. Amazon do not have my landline number, which is how I received the call.

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

But happy to walk away is their policy - they are very rude and should not work with the public as their attitude is not to be bother to help !! Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
