Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.
this number keeps calling me leaving a voicemail message, saying "for just 2 minutes of your time, press 9 to opt out" but if you press 9 it rings them back and I suspect they charge a premium rate.

Caller purported as acting as 3rd party for a Finance Company which I have just used (so far so good). Wasn t happy when started to ask for relatively minor details (address/post code) so caller advised not prepared to discuss further. These cold callers just don’t get it, do they? I know many businesses who became very successful without having to make a single cold call. How did they do it? They built a good website and then spent the time and money on getting that website to the top of search results, so when people typed in a search for their product or service, their website appeared at the top or near the top of the search results. The very fact these cold callers are clearly too incompetent to do this (hence they need to cold call)
