SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.

appears to be a phishing scam, its a recorded message about credit card suspicious use with a link to follow, i didnt follow the link but did check my credit cards and no such transactions ever happened.

Fraud This number is being used in an attempted fraud. I received a letter purporting to come from Lloyds Bank referring to a conversation that had not taken place and asking me to complete and sign a form giving details of my back account, sort code and memorable wo. The letter looks genuine, uses a genuine Lloyds address and gives this number to call with questions.

I believe this is a spam number. Someone contacted me claiming to be Martin Truex, Jr.

This is an actual real firm's number. But the number has been taken over by some scammer who is contacting random people. I did not answer the phone in time, so rang back and the company said they had several people ringing back who had been approached by scammers. Awful for them to be used like this.

Reported to Barclays, local police and action fraud. Urging anybody else to do the same. Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

If it is Citrus Telecommunications network, they have to stop to bother people and threatening them that they will not stop with the calls, under the impression that we have no interest in their offered services.
