I got a text supposedly from PayPal saying suspicious activity on my account and asking me to check via a link that they provided. I checked my account via a different method and found nothing wrong. This nimber appears to be used by SCAMMERS.

SCAM they call/leave a message telling that they are HRMC and that if you don’t call them back you’re going to get arrayed. HRMC website confirmed that this is not how they operate and this is a scam.

I am confused by this. I recently received a call from this number about an annual service booking; the woman at the other end knew my name but wanted me to confirm my address and postcode, which I did. I agreed to a suggested date and time, and she tells me that I will be getting a call on the day to confirm. Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.
