Claims they are from some housing association what to know if there is damage to your property. When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged. I said they don't even know if my property privately owned. Then they hanged up.
Many calls from this and similar numbers to my (unused so number never given out) landline. In the past hour I've had 6 calls, their last two digits have changed each time but the rest is the same. As soon as the answer machine kicks in they hang up.
Claiming to be from Amazon. Its a local STD code to me but the number it called I have never given to Amazon. So I'd say its spam.

Called 8 times and hung up before I could answer
After endless repeated attempts from scammers trying to phish me. I dont answer strange numbers, especially ones that dont leave a message. This caller is not my doctor/ friend/work/family, so I simply have blocked them. unfortunately they pop up every day in the optimiser part of my phone despite me blocking their number.

Received a call from an unknown telephone number at 09 42 I was informed that a large amount of money had been taken from my current bank account and they wanted to know my security code etc . They knew my name and said they'd been authorised by the government to handle a legal case against FX Trading. I knew it was a fraudulent phonecall when they wanted ID and statements from me. My phone picked up that they were calling from Rome but the man clearly said he was working for the UK government. Very dodgy!

I answered phone on first ring and got a recorded message saying they were sorry they were unable to contact me ‘at this time’ and asked me to call back or try again later. The recorded message played so instantly that I missed first 4 words and have no idea who it was. This makes me think is was a group call, so I’ll be blocking it
Caller said she was from my internet provider and that I had a problem over the last 2 weeks.

I keep receiving messages in quick succession on my landline answer machine (8 this morning so far). They are clear until the company name is stated, when it becomes muffled. Having looked at the reviews, the calls seem to come from Talk Talk (can hear it is a busy call centre in the background), but I am with BT and have never had any dealings with Talk Talk!

Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me.
