This is a telephone scammer. The call pretends to be from HMRC asking to call them back because they want to speak to your solicitor, give a name you are supposed to ask for (sorry I can't remember it, David something) they add that there will be consequences for not calling them back. Wrote to,a client of mine saying they had been signposted by,their own GP . Did she need a new mattress? Sold her a single Memory Foam mattress for £14000 ...... Even went as far as writing the cheque out for her then getting her to sign it! Luckily she had the notice to phone the local CAB afterwards.

This was actually just an automated BT text-to-landline service telling me the time slot for my Costco parcel delivery that I was expecting, so this was completely legit for me. It will try ringing you several times until you listen to the text message so just listen and it will stop. However, as it's a generic BT service it is open to abuse but I would advise against blocking it because the message delivery service itself is not a scam, just be aware though that the message you receive could be bogus.
