TAXES / HMRC Caller said I had some money coming back to me from HMRC. I asked for their details and could they send it to my email so I can look at things. They wanted me to confirm who I was, but I don't give any of my details over the phone. I asked again to send me details and he said I see what I can do, he then put the phone down. Definitely scam

Not in the habit of giving out my personal mobile number to just anyone or any businesses. Although I ve had 6 calls from this number in the past few days, no idea who it is, as I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of answering calls from numbers I do not recognise, especially if they begin 0845. Just blocked the number from my list of recent calls on my iPhone, which sends them directly to voicemail as opposed to bothering me with something I am unconcerned about. They call scammed People and promise them to be refunded, in fact they call themselves blockchain refund Department. But you have to transfer a percentage of the amount to a Bitcoin account, and from there they make it disappear in a moment. They can be very convincing, they are dangerous.

Missed call, your identification as a solicitors number is of no use to me and completely unexpected, so it must be some sort of phishing or scam call. Having had calls from India, from supposed UK numbers, I suspect that some sort of fake number hack may be the cause. Using a VOIP system makes the originators true telephone number unavailable. These VOIP suppliers need to double check the purpose of their clients and prevent scams over the VOIP service they provide.

SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.
