Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, RTA - claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

SCAM - automated message saying I'm being charged for tax evasion
SPAM trying to get you to click the link!!! It sent a text to advise that a payee had been added to my HSBC account and then had a link. It is fake! I logged into my account using my laptop and checked it in case, but there was no new payee and the bank do not send these texts anyway.
I have been called repeatedly from this number and earlier this week asked very politely to be removed from their calling list. Since requesting this I was called 8 times yester...

This number called me with an automated voice, saying they were from BT and because there had been some suspicious activity on my landline, they were going to disconnect my line. I was to press 1 to speak to an advisor. I am not with BT and this number does not appear to be anything to do with BT. I did not press one. I am concerned that vulnerable, genuine BT customers with will be embroiled in some sort of scam.
Answered (by mistake). Nothing. Disconnected. Block these people.
