SPAM Said he's from 'the online trading company' and is calling because I have shown interest in online trading - not true. I told him to get lost and hung up, he immediately called again before I blocked the number.
Seems to be a scam number which tried to give me a link for a language tutor lesson I didn't book.

SCAM I have this afternoon received a telephone call purporting to be National Grid Meter Department and confirming a date and time to change meter as they said it was over charging. Suggested a refund available since last year of £652.23 Offered a booking slot and advised the new meter number as E14UP04L89. a foreign man possibly Indian said he was calling from Virgin Media. I put the phone down assumed it was a spam call.
Recorded voice told me that my bank account had had attempted withdrawals and, if I wanted to stop them, to press 1 or 2 to speak to an "adviser" . I did neither and hung up and then blocked the number

Got another audio text message to my landline Another appointment reminder I thought I gave these people my mobile number as the contact but obviously not Will do when I see them next week I used to get a lot of these audio text messages to my landline at one time from this and a couple of other text to speech to landline translation and relay service numbers but am now only giving my mobile number as the contact when I can remember it As usual with these audio text services always ignore the instruction
This number came through as an incoming call 2 times whilst I was already on a work call, Monday 27th March 2023. No voicemail was left. I tried calling it back and an automated message played with the first word barely audible, I’m pretty sure it says “[inaudible word] circuits are busy now”
Automated call this call was a recorded message saying about bank security and that transactions have taken place if its not the case to press either 1 or 2. I've had so many of these and know it's a scam. My elderly brother went all the way through to speak to someone and realised at the last minute it was a scam so put the phone down but it worried him so much he rang his bank to make sure everything was alright. I don't know who called as I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message on my answerphone. I never answer calls from unknown numbers as they're usually either a scam or trying to sell me something I don't want. If it's an important call and they really need to speak to me then they would probably leave a message. I live Manchester area and there's no reason for anyone from London area to contact me.
