When I managed to answer there was nothing to be heard from the caller's end so I assumed it was some dodgy scammer. The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Unsolicited email recording phantom purchase via Paypal and to call this number for any queries. Had 2 today so far from different (false) gmail addresses. Says "The sizzling product is being packed," - wow, are they sending fried sausages!

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

I was called on my mobile from this number at 15.05 on 4 May 2023. I didn't get to the phone before it stopped ringing and there was no message left. On 24 April 2023, I was also called from a number in the same range, that is 0141 320 0285, with exactly the same results. I've now blocked both numbers, but no doubt they could call me next week from 0141 320 0275 or similar! I've given it the benefit of the doubt with a rating of Annoying. I think it's actually likely to be Dangerous.

Usual asian call center thicko scammer, claiming to be from social housing repair team, ffs, how thick can you get, if you're going to try scamming someone it has to be a believable company and the above certainly isn't that. They don't like being called liars either.
This caller is a Scam number wanting to obtain your bank details for an alleged unauthorized transaction from your bank. My advice hang up straightaway.

I found this number on my 11 year old daughters phone and when I checked it out found that it belongs to a 40 year old man named Ali who met my daughter through Instagram and was trying to get her to meet up with him - reported to police who are now investigating and have arrested the individual for interview - he is VERY DANGEROUS beware
the person claims to be from British Gas or another energy provider saying his name is either Peter or Jay he is pushy and aggressice keeps calling demanding to speak to a manager when you refuse he keeps calling and is rude and wont take no for answer especially when you state you dont wnat his business now blocked numbers from his mobile and this number, avoid at all costs as he will keep calling i had 25 calls in less than 4 minutes, after telling him i am going with another energy provider!
