Missed it on mobile, but I recently had a spat with my water extortioner (United Utilities) so above references to other water companies sound about right.

They calling from call center trying to sell life insurance
SCAM Indian sounding man speaking poor english, call centre sounds in the background. Claims to be from a "government agency" that will help me pay off my debts. (jokes on him coz I havent any!) Wouldnt say what company or what government theyre from.

Rang at 3.32pm on 5/2/18 Asian sounding voice 'Stella' pretending to be BT Open Reach and talking about a BT bill. When I asked for my BT Account number, hung up.
Claims I'm wanted by HMRC for not paying my tax. Asks me to connect to an operator. Hung up.
SCAM No idea who it is but guessing on it being a scam as I don't know anyone in London.

Automated message purportedly from VISA about a £600 debit on my account about 10.17am Mon 15 Mar, 2021. Their phone number (sourced from 1471) shares the same first 8 digits with two numbers featured on this site: 211 and 212. This implies that the company behind this scam has purchased a string of phone numbers. Surely, it can't be beyond the wit of the authorities to close them down.

SCAM automated robot voice saying calling from the Inland Revenue about a tax fraud and threatening legal action if i didnt press 1 to be connected to an Inland Rev representative. hung up and blocked the number. think lots of numbers along these same lines are doing the rounds.
SCAM / SPAM said they are calling me from Car phone warehouse to talk to me about deals on new iPhones. Kept telling them no and don't call me but she just ignored me and kept reading her script. Hung up and blocked them.

Calling me while I am abroad means I pay a reception charge which is totally unfair. its the usual an automated service regarding some insurance or such. i wish i could block it, called me about 5 times now and when i dont hear phone it goes to voicemail and i get charged. no morals.
They have called me 4 times in 2 weeks about energy saving products for solar panels. Each time we have politely declined their offer and asked to be removed form their call list. Today during asking to be removed from the list, they just put down the phone with me mid sentence.
