Re 01642373357 Received call saying they were conducting a survey on behalf of Bath & North East Somerset Council. I do a lot of work for the council and was surprised. I said Really, that s unusual. But go ahead . Caller mumbled we re a market research company and then hung up. I have let the council know as I have no idea what they were looking for but it clearly is not a legitimate company.

didnt answer, but searched info online. turns out its a scam call where they get you to provide computer info and then proceed to hack you. you have to pay a ransom fee to unlock your computer. claim theyre from microsoft. dangerous. avoid.
Man said he was from "on line support" in London - "says he has been trying to send me some update files but is getting as message to say my computer was infected." (this call came from an odd looking number 143454078585) told him he was not our support company and asked him not to call again and put the phone down. He called back and was quite loud and aggressively asked me why I put the phone down on me . I told him again that he was not from our support company - he shouted at me that I would get disconn

A machine called me from this number. I got the same recorded message on answering the call as you get if you call it back. The message claims that they are Supporter Insight UK and performing a survey on behalf of charities, but to rest assured, it was not an urgent call and they would call back. I am on the TPS register. I called the number on www.supporterinsight.com to complain. The guy there told me that they don t consult the register since they are not doing marketing calls (just surveys). M
