SCAM - the call looked like a normal mobile number. A pre-recorded message talks of a fraud against HMRC and an arrest warrant being issued - press button 1 or 2 Etc. I hung up - a complete scam, either attempting to get a premium rate return call or personal information.

Indian chap rang asked if I was Mrs Spencer (it wasn't my surname but I didn't tell him that). He said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (LOTS of other Indian-sounding people talking in the background, sounded like a call centre). Asked if I was still receiving scam phone calls. I asked him what he wanted and he said that they could stop all these scam calls. I said "oh yes really?? and how much is that going to cost me?!!".
