Says he is from citizens advice bureau and asked me if I owe a lot of debt. They mentioned that they had some paperwork about me and that I have debts which I owe. Sounded suspicious so I said No I don’t owe anything and then they said goodbye and hung up. I think it’s s scam to be honest.

Cleverly they've linked their web page up to Airbnb's page so when you look for support, it will take you to the legit page, but the booking page is a complete scam! It'll reject your payment when you confirm your booking and offer you the option to do a wire transfer. The scammer will give you "Airbnb's bank details" (confirmed by an agent, Airbnb do NOT have a bank account) to place your deposit into.

SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!

Repeated calls from this number. I finally answered. They knew my name (first name) and claimed to be from a company I couldn't understand the name of despite repeated requests for them to repeat it. They said they were calling to review my life policies. On the basis my life policies are with a company whose name sounds nothing like what they said, I told them I have no policies with them. The caller paused, said thank you and hung up.
