05 Nov 2021 - The caller initially claimed to be calling about loft insulation. On being told I was not interested in this line of discussion he refused to take no for an answer. I called off. The same person then called back immediately from an undisclosed number indicating that he knew my name and address and heaping extremely abusive language on me. Should be traced and stopped. Reply

Multiple text messages to my housemate saying "this is a message for *her name*, please contact Opus limited on *o1414283990* regarding reference *reference number* as soon as possible. Thank you" and "Have I called you at a bad time? I need to speak with you as a matter of urgency. please call Opos on 0141 428 3990 quoting *same reference number*. Thnakyou" She doesn t use her number online for anything, nor does she give it out to companies, so not sure how these people want tot alk to her.

As it was a local call I answered it. It was Jaden calling from local support. After I asked support for what she informed me that as I was the owner of the computer. SCAM saying HMRC have a tax fraud case against you. Very loud threatening automated message telling you you will be arrested soon if you don't press 1 to call them. Mobile number locator shows as being near industrial site off Mitton Road, Whalley near Blackburn. The intent is to scare vulnerable/older people into making contact, so as to gain access to their PC via remote access. HMRC are aware of this type of scam but I informed them anyway.

Rang saying domestic appliance insurance cover needs to be renewed (which we don't have) - asking me if I wanted to renew for one or two years. When I declined they asked me why I didn't want to renew . My reply was simply cost and they put phone down. They didn't say which company or insurer. Tried ringing the number back but number is unavailable. Potential scam.
