SCAM: Fifth identical call today, once an hour, from different phone numbers (probably all spoofed) Automated female voice, claiming to be from BT Internet Dept, who have supposedly been trying to call me urgently, because of ‘suspicious activity’ on my account. My internet & line will be disconnected. Press 1 to speak to an ‘executive’ to rectify this.
Next time they call just say "hold on I ve got to turn the tap off." Then see how long they hold before they hang up.

this number rang a phone that I don't use for calls. Must be automated or sold to a call centre as I've had 3 missed calls this morning from 3 similar numbers, all starting 020 3771 xxxx.

Someone with a strong Indian accent calling himself Francis called early in the morning wanting to conduct a survey. He hung up without apology when I mentioned I was registered with TPS. Report these telepests to ICO.
THEY SAID THEY WERE FROM AMAZON CLAIMING SOMEBODY HAD ACCESSED MY ACCOUNT ORDERING AN iPhone IN MY NAME, KEPT ON ASKING ME TO ACCESS MY EMAILS EVEN WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT MY COMPUTER WAS DOWN TOLD THEM TO CANCEL SO CALLED ORDER AS I DIDN'T HAVE THAT SORT OF MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT ANYWAY AND THE PHONE JUST WENT DEAD
If one has the time available much fun can be had by engaging with these people, keeping them chatting and feeding them lies. After which, just block the number.

Apparently the computerised voice tells me there’s a warrant for my arrest due to my national insurance. Like I’m going to fall for that. Also had the same call off different numbers. 3 so far today.
Addressed me by my first name and asking me how I thought the financial markets were doing! Very bizarre, hung up on them.
This number keeps calling my elderly mother day and night. Saying there s a fault with her computer and they can fix it. Told her to get it set and they d call back in 30 mins. I ve told her not to answer now and reported to action fraud line.
When phoned back a message said the number was not in service. So either they don t want to accept calls, or they re spoofing the number in the first place.

Really nasty, threatening scam from this number. The message said HMRC had a tax fraud case listed against my name and I should press 1 to connect to the HMRC investigating officer to discuss the case. It then went on to say that if I didn't I would be arrested for tax fraud - I knew it was not true but some people could be really scared and stressed by this horrible scam.
Left my number on Cigna Expat Insurance site for a quote. Now they are trying to call me. Don t leave your number if you do not want to be called.
