I’m guessing it’s a scam. I’ve had this number call me every day for several days in a row. As soon as I answer,it cuts off. I assume if you ring it back,you’ll be charged a huge amount?

SCAM I was out when this number called. They did not leave a message on my answer phone but the number was recorded on my incoming call information system. Using a recall system it was found the number had become non-existent and was therefore no longer traceable. This would indicate that it is from a SCAM telephone number/company. Parts of this was in bold to make it seem urgent. I'm not expecting any delivery from Evri. But I checked with the Evri app anyway. Nothing showing! I suspect this is a scam, taking advantage of the Christmas shopping period.

States from curry’s yet was a call centre with foreign speaking people. Don’t believe it was. Not from the village the number is recognised from.
I have been receiving late morning calls from this number on my landline for the last few days. I am ex-directory and do not know anyone in Preston. I suspect that it is probably a robotic marketing call because today I answered but nobody spoke and there was no message.

It's a scam pretending to be a mobile operator. Trying to get personal data, card numbers as payment for a service etc. Calling from various, similar numbers.

I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. They claim to be e-on which is fake because their number isn't on e-ons website + they wouldn't be calling everyday. Repeated phone calls, (within working hours). This business sells magazine deals/subscriptions - but if you buy once they don't stop phoning (unless you firmly say/threaten them a few times that you'll report them). They're not the worst by any means.

Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
