Asian male claims to be Joe from Sky insisting on selling me Sky Breakdown cover. Up to 5 calls a day. 1471 results in poorly worded computer generated message re tv repair. He was very upset when I asked him to stop talking and to listen to me. He continued in very, very broken English to talk. I told him never to call again and to remove my number from his list. I was out but hey left an automated message saying suspicious activity on my bank account, listing some of them. Then 'Press 1' to cancel these payments etc etc. Typical scam and definitely might catch some people out. I deleted the message.

This number keeps calling my elderly mother pretending its about a loan she had. They keep providing her with info like date of birth, asking her to confirm expecting her to provide the correct one. A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.
