Yep, this a tele marketing group www.punchgeneration.com using a variety of 01483 numbers.

Called and like others, reported to be from Microsoft, said that they had the serial number of windows that was reporting that my computer was being hacked as we spoke by a criminal gang (how ironic!) and that they were from an agency who needed to stop the gang by stemming the flow through my PC.....Said we know an IT expert who we would ask to take a look ourselves, he (called himself Peter Wilson) said that an expert would not be able to find it. Became agitated and said I needed to call him back on 0042

MacKenzie Hall with yet another number in an attempt to disguise their location. It's no use, I know where their offices are.

DO NOT ANSWER - Scam call from an Asian call centre, openly admitting to charging a premium rate for connecting your call. They begin the conversation stating they are a government scheme aimed at helping pay back loans etc. I received racial abuse from the caller while trying to get information out of him. Have checked all phone records to see if any charges have come through but none as yet, but am unaware if the included minutes have covered this somehow. BLOCK & REPORT.

The line goes dead after I hear a second or so s call-centre background noise. My guess is: Indian spammer/scammers (and probably nothing to do with Scottish Power).

This number has called me several times in the last few days, no messages left for the missed calls and no one speaks when I do pick it up. One to be blocked!

They ring every day and put the phone down keep blocking the number but still get thru
