SCAM Had a call from this number 8.45 Saturday morning. Started off saying calling from Virgin media and that my broadband connection was not working properly a d she was going to boost it. Then she tried the old scam of getting me to log on to my laptop or computer and pressing CTRL and windows keys. I wasted her time playing dumb for a bit and she asked me if I was illiterate (rude????). SCAM Call from Sky technician department! Strong Asian accent. There is a problem with my broadband router. Not with and never have been with sky. Wanted me to load an app on my phone so she could show me what the issue was with the router. Not happening I said. Got accused of arguing with her. Managed to waste 8 minutes of her time before hanging up and blocking.

Fraud- claiming to be from sky, claiming technical issues and someone trying to access my broadband/modem, wanted me to give him access of my devices so he can show me what he means, I asked him to clarify that he wants me to give him access to my devices, he repeated that there was a technical issue and someone was trying to access my broadband/modem and that he can show me, so I asked him to answer my question to which he said yes, i also asked him to l me what name is on the account. He promptly hung up.
Said they were from bt open reach and needed to check my internet speed. Said it could only be done from a computer or laptop. Couldn’t believe I didn’t own either. Asked to be passed to supervisor and they hung up. Heavily accented English

Am expecting a call back today, but will ask for this deal to be confirmed in email.When you call the numbes back one is a message saying "Carephone Warehouse" the other is a message saying E2Save" is would guess this is not a Carphone warehouse employee and as a result will remove my business from them and go direct with the Service Provider.

If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution
Answered because it showed a mobile number. Same as other reports, caller asked me to confirm that I had been in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I said no, and asked to be removed form the mailing list and not called again. She hung up. Blocked.
