SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. After applying for a loan this company rang me multiple times a day i asked them to call me back after 6pm the first time as i was working and did want to see if they could help me but the I had 7 calls off the in 3 hours NOT one after the time I said I could answer, the following day the same company different number rang me 13 times between 10 am and 4:30 pm so i blocked those numbers, the following day i had a further 14 missed calls from this company off another 5 numbers. So far I am I up to 14 number

Received a call from this number today asking me for my work ID number. Refused to provide as the person who did not identify himself when calling my private phone number. Asked from where he obtained my number got no answer. When calling back, person did not take call. Going back to base explained the incident to my manager, manager called this number from the office landline caller took the call and was still demanding the ID number said he will get it anyway and hung up.

An Indian sounding man said he was from one of the newest UK 'Habits companies' and wanted to ask me about my habits. Told him I knew he was a scammer and he hung up before I could finish my sentence! As well as my phone number he had my name and address which he said was obtained from public available data - very worrying!
