has anybody logged on car insurance sites as these calls started after I had posted my details to get car insurance. If these insurance companies are passing our information on surely its against the data protection laws and they should be prosecuted.

Female caller with asian accent claiming to be from BT. She said they were going to disconnect my internet as they have been receiving messages showing it is infected with malware via facebook. I pointed out I don t have facebook and have anti-virus software. She eventually hung up.

Either phone rings and there is an engaged tone when I answer, or I answer it and it seems to be from a foreign call centre threatening debt collection, court and bailiffs when no one in my home even uses 3! I ve asked them 3x on the phone, 2x by webform, and 3x in writing to never contact me again, but keep being ignored. Not acceptable. Number is one of Scot Call s many. They are part of Mackenzie Hall group. and collect old debts, that can be 10 - 20 years old. By law most debts over 6 years are void. The calls are usually automated or ask for personal info. Hope this helps.
