they asked for me by previous name a bit worrying then asked if I d claimed all my PPI back. When I said I d never had any he insisted I had so I terminated the call. I only answered the call as I have relatives in Macclesfield and thought it may be one of them ringing from another landline

Answered call, two seconds later phone line went dead with no response. Could hear what sounded like a boiler room operating in the background. I am registered with TPS, but this doesn t seem to stop this kind of call

This number rings me three or four times a day!!!!

Let them ramble on for a bit; apparently I could be owed thousands in PPI claims, which they would chase for me for only 30% of it. For reassurance they gave me a different callback number to the one that had rung on my mobile, then asked if I would speak to my bank and request PPI information on their behalf while they kept me on hold. Woman phoned asking if I was Miss (my girlfriend s name) I m not the butchest of guys but I don t sound like a woman.... Very heavily accented Indian accent, also appalling sound quality with lots of noise in the background. When I asked who it was from, she mumbled something about PPI at which point I put the phone down.

It's a company called First Contact by Utilita. I was called on my mobile and they hung up. A return call revealed they were a call centre and I have now blocked the number.

Unwelcome calls from this number which i consider to be harassment . I never gave them my number - where did they get it? Who is making money out of these nuisance calls?!

Does relate to an account setup. It s a company relates to crypto and it s a courtesy call. Caller is actually in Cyprus not London Dodgy number but thanks BT for allowing such things legal but misleading. Call genuine.

yet another silent call from an 0203 prefix. I presume this is a repeat from some clown who I have blocked and he is just using a new number.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

Original call number came in as V21309255500012, when picked up and answered, no response, just silence. After hanging up, hit CID button (caller ID) and the new number was revealed as 1-778-555-0161, a number from British Vancouver.
