23 calls from 16 Mar 2023 to 31st May 2023 asking for someone who does even live at the address and no matter how many times i tell them they continue to call nearly everyday sometimes they hang up on me answering

This number has rang me twice now, the male on the other end says, you have just rang this number. Yesterday I told them no I haven't and they asked who it was, so I asked who they were. They said you rang this number and I reiterated I hadn't and they said you have, so I said no I haven't and told them to go away and put the phone down. The phone number was received in Germany by a fax machine. There are no business or private relationships with the UK. The fax machine could not receive a message. Wrong dialing or spam?

I think it is a sub-contracted call centre (why it might sound disingenuous?) of sales people for Sky broadband or agents on commission from Sky. They did indeed do a realtime broadband speed check on what they could offer compared to Virgin, which shut them down. It was easy then to end the call. Call center
