Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. Constantly calling and different times of day on my mobile. Now installed Truecall app which blocks them the instant they call, along with a huge list of other annoying companies.

My Mum has been getting calls from this number, same as others report, just silent calls. My Mum s number has been registered with TPS for a number of years now, so this should not really be happening. As such, must be treated as highly suspicious.

Missed Call - Called Back - And the same PPI S**t. The lady started off asking personal details, which I didn t reveal and asked what it is about. She doesnt want to listen when I said I am not interested and she can take off my name from her database. Am now receiving atleast 1-2 calls a day and 3-4 sms messages from various people/companies and I think it has crossed the limits to be tagged as harassment. Am not sure what OFCOM is doing about it.

Had a call saying they are a University Survey company that reviews student uni experience, knew my full name and uni that I attended, went on for about 15 minutes asking to rate my experience out of 10 etc. Not sure if legit or scam, but even then dont know what they would do with the info I provided

Almost certainly a scam. These calls use spoofed numbers but originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Ignore it or block the number on your phone. ...

Automated message left on my voicemail. Claimed to be hmrc and quite firm that this message should not be ignored. I deleted it.

When I answered, an Indian man asked me how I was! Said he was from Perfect Preferences and told me it wasn t a sales call. Quoted my name, phone number and address and asked me to confirm them. I told him I wouldn t as I didn t know who I was talking to. He asked for two minutes of my time and when I told him No he banged the phone down.
