Fraud. Automated call pertaining to be from Amazon stating that £300 will be taken from your account for a phone your have purchased. However, if you haven't then hit button 1. If you do you'll either be put through on a premium rate number to one of their criminals who will want your bank details of credit card number in order for them to "cancel the order" but will really use this to steal even more cash from you. They are also using other 01475 numbers.

I filled in a Saga online form for a health cover quote. This telephone number rang me within 5 minutes of filling in the form. As I didn t recognise the number, I didn t answer the call. I then searched and found out that it s a telemarketing call on behalf of Saga. I do not wish to be contacted this quickly, I would prefer to receive their email with my quote and then consider it in my own time.

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour

Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?
SPAM Called me this morning and stated he was from Protect or perhaps Protec and stated that they were a government linked company and needed to arrange an inspection of my roof insulation which should be checked every two to three years to eliminate mould etc from damp or deteriorating insulation. I told him it was not necessary but then he lost any confidence I may have had in him by comparing it with a car MOT which has to carried out. I reminded him one is a legal requirement and ended the call.
