Apparently I have had an accident recently (I haven t). My phone is registered with the Telephone Preference Service so they shouldn t even be calling me.
SCAM / SPAM - Caller is part of a group targeting the elderly. Male with a strong foreign accent stated his name was 'David' and was calling from the RBS HQ. When challenged where the RBS HQ is located he stuttered and mumbled before hanging up. Please treat this number with caution

SCAM Call initiated by pressing 1 from within a voicemail The voicemail announced a potentially fraudulent purchase on Amazon of £399. They asked if purchase made. We said no. They then asked to get in front of our computer to check security. At that point call was terminated.

Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. Automated call, said failure to respond would result in charges against me, gave me a case number, seemed to be to do with national insurance, wanted me to press one. I hung up.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Had a phone call of this number an old lady sounded distressed then hung up. I called back and she said one word then hung up. I called back 2nd time and a man picked up and said no nothing ghen hung up. Strange!
Had a call from this number today (06/02/2020). I didn t answer, but just sharing what I discovered when attempting to identify the caller. Several directories show this as a number related to a recruitment company named Catch Recruitment. Hope this helps :)
