SCAM - Chris claiming to be from from the Green Eco Centre, my "local" energy company, based in South West London. Have had several similar calls from Bournemouth numbers, telling me that my roof insulation needs replacing.

07780095680 SCAM allegedly a call from my ISP (of course, no mention of the name of my ISP) telling me they are disconnecting due to illegal activity, followed by numbered options as to who to speak to. At which point I hung up. apparently a vodaphone number.

Just had this number call (Liverpool code, with non-geographical sub-code 808) - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. This explains the silent treatment from any real person (low-lifeform) at the other end. Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number. "Brian" called from this number. He called me last week from a different mobile (which I blocked) introducing himself as "Barry". I recognised his voice and told him to jog on (words to that effect) so he didn t have the opportunity to tell me again that he was calling on behalf of a creditor who was threatening to take legal action regarding insufficient loan repayments.
