Just had a call from 0161 609 3325 with an automated voice saying they were from the Tax office and I was being investigated for fraud and if I didn't press 1 to be put through then the police would come to arrest me! Can't find anything on this number online.

TAXES / HMRC Evasion. If you receive a phone call either on landline or mobile from a supposedly 'HMRC', what ever happens, what ever you do, do not press any keys on your keypad as per instructions. This will lead to monies being taken from your account because you've allowed it to happen. Remember that if HMRC wish to contact you at all for what ever reason, they will do it by post and not on the phone. The same applies with banks. Please, people, don't do it.

I then stated that if she couldn t answer the question then we couldn t speak further, so she hung up. Vanquis bank hastling calls via local numbers to agrresivly and sneakily trying to call you when you may be close to paying .... NOTE this is a form of harrasment by this bank and not tollerated by judge if found to be of an itimidating nature
Trying to collect for a cancellation fee on an insurance company. Complete jokers. Just ignore/block them. They will never follow through with any threats - they just rely on intimidating people into payment. They will even offer you discounts - a clear sign they know they re not entitled to any money.
This number calls to advise i have illegal fraudulent activity in my NI number - surely a recorded message about such a thing is spam?!?! refusing to call it back or select 1 as it seems to want me to do.
