Missed the call, they left no voicemail so tried returning call which went straight to an answering service.
Said he was from BT Outreach and would speed up my internet. Asked me to start my computer and follow some instructions. I put the phone down but he kept ringing back, became aggressive and threatened to block my internet.
This number pretended to be calling from HMRC to tell me that I was recorded as having committed tax fraud and to please press “1”.

I suspect a scam. Added to my phone book memory facility list on phone. Input these nuisance numbers in so they show up on my screen as caller id: ignore1, ignore2, ignore3 etc After a couple of months can delete off phone book memory, by then they have given up if you don t answer.
