SPAM - tried to sign me up for a webinar, tried again on a few different numbers. Had my work email and phone number.
Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.
Asked me about my address, it was my parents. Then proceeded to ask My age bracket and about my utilities provider. End the call on whether I’d like to hear from Scottish Power ...
SCAM! Automated voice saying "you are being investigated for tax fraud. Press 1 to speak to an operator" etc... Very nasty Phishing. HANG UP.

TAXES / HMRC Caller said I had some money coming back to me from HMRC. I asked for their details and could they send it to my email so I can look at things. They wanted me to confirm who I was, but I don't give any of my details over the phone. I asked again to send me details and he said I see what I can do, he then put the phone down. Definitely scam

I got a phone call from this number and when I answered it there was no answer and then they hung up and when the number came up it said it was from the Isle of Arran
Missed call, your identification as a solicitors number is of no use to me and completely unexpected, so it must be some sort of phishing or scam call. Having had calls from India, from supposed UK numbers, I suspect that some sort of fake number hack may be the cause. Using a VOIP system makes the originators true telephone number unavailable. These VOIP suppliers need to double check the purpose of their clients and prevent scams over the VOIP service they provide.
