SCAM- 0128 240981 I've been bombarded by calls from similar 0128 numbers for past couple weeks. I finally answered this one today (28th October) and it was a lady with an oversees accent with echoey background noise saying she was from the National Debtline. She knew my name and kept asking me to confirm it but I didn't and I kept asking who she was then hung up when she said she was from the debtline. They don't cold call you and it's a totally different number so I blocked it.

I answered the call but they hang up. I've received two calls from mobile numbers that have the same first 5 numbers. These scammers seem to use a number very similar to yours. I guess to make you think it looks like a genuine caller. Best is not to answer. If there is no voice message left then it is likely to be a scam.

I received a letter purporting to come from Lloyds Bank referring to a conversation that had not taken place and asking me to complete and sign a form giving details of my back account, sort code and memorable wo.
