10-20 calls spaced apart every 5 minutes over the course of the afternoon to an NHS Community Rehab Team office. A bleep sound is heard as though it is a fax call.

Left message about a tax rebate due to me.

So they called me earlier today claiming to be Virgin. They were offering me a deal to upgrade my services and I was wary of them for quite a while, however they never asked me for any bank details only to confirm personal information so I proceeded with the call. After seeing the reviews here I got worried after by how much they knew about my account so I called Virgin, who confirmed it was in fact their marketing team and the deal I was offered had been genuine and that upgrades were indeed in the works.

Total silence, caller terminated after two seconds. DO NOT return the call. Just as with e-mails, such action confirms to the originator that the number has a human on the end and then, the response is saved for use by the cold caller company that uses it. Although displayed STD might lead you to believe its originator s location (in this case, London), geographic numbers can be applied for by a company regardless of actual location.
