You get robocalls until you pick up from one Bournemouth number, then the next day you get your "local" energy adviser calling you - just got rid at that point so unsure whether a scam, but certainly unsolicited, and since my number is in the TPS database for not getting unsolicited calls, you can bet your life it's a dodgy company not bothered about following the law or regulations.
Never give any information to an unknown caller, no matter how plausible they sound.
I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.

I have also had the silent and then Goodbye calls from this number. Today I spoke to two of their agents on two seperate calls. Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.

This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.
