I received a call from this number this morning asking me to confirm details of my router, telling me that someone else had been using it and trying to hack into it. I told her that there was not a problem. She kept telling me that I needed to give her details of passwords etc so I hung up after telling her several times that I wasn't interested and knew that it was a scam call.
The man on the other end sounded as though he was from India. He said he was our internet provider and that we had been hacked and people were using our system. Sounded plausible ( I don't think) I am aware of these scams. When asked you he worked for he said BT it was by when I said we don't have BT but he said he worked for all the big companies i.e. Talk talk. I was playing along with him a bit cos they have phoned regularly but I don't answer usually, he caught me unawares this morning. Asked me to go o

Just had a call this morning from this number saying therey were from Virgin media and were calling because they were getting error messages from my router so they called to fix it. They wanted me to run some sort of Exe file. I called Virgin and they are not aware of this and said my router appears to be ok. Treat with extreme caution!
