Number called but did not speak and hung up after a few seconds.
Someone called my landline on this number about 0815 this morning and it woke me up! No message left. It is a similar number to a couple of calls I have received this week. The previous callers claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband connection - which there isn’t and I told them so. It is likely a scam to get you to give information so they can hack into your system.

This is a scam number pretending to be Amazon UK. They pretended that i had mistakenly signed up for 'their' yearly subscription and stated i they were due to take 79.99 out of my account today if i did not cancel immediately. They stated that they could sort this out online and that I may be due a refund. It says it's from the gov. website and asks you to click a link to add your bank account details so that they can deposit the amount in your bank, so beware! Anyone who is entitled to any DWP money will automatically have it deposited into their bank account and upon researching this, I was told that DWP will NEVER text or ring you to inform you of your entitlements or ask for any details.
