SCAM, pretended to be from the government wanting me to click on a link as regards now qualifying for energy bill reduction. Just said Gov.uk, but never used my name
Claimed they from smart insurance & company changed from original. They knew lots of info about insurance. Asked for acc details, put phone down and immediately rang my appliance insurance company and they said they havent been taken over by smart insurance. I felt relieved that i hadnt given out my bank details but its shocking how lnowledgeable they were and the information they currency had on it. Blocked immediately. Pls beware and be careful.

Phoned me, asking if I was Darren Cambridge of Brotherton Avenue in Wakefield. They become very aggressive when I asked them where they got my number and then I hung up! I was shaking after the way they spoke to me.

SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. Automated voice says this is a bank alert, there have been two charges on your card , it then gives the details of the ‘transactions’ one supposedly for £200+ on Amazon, the other a bank transfer for over £1000. Then asked to press one or two depending on whether you have made these payments or not.

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)
This is the second call i hve had from a 0115 number.Silent call. No one on the line Have to put my answer phone on two ring response,to minimise the effect. Serious nuiaance.

This number rang me. When I answered it was a recorded message saying I had phoned them! And to leave a message. I was more than willing to leave a message telling them not to ring me but their mailbox was full! Iperhaps they are trying a different tack by creating nuisance calls to then ring you offering a services to get rid of them. Highly suspicious!
